Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
