The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Fighters Group

Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a wide array of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in influence within the city.

Note: Spoilers for the latest installment of the new season lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of adventurers who will split off from the main group to begin their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Warriors, Strategists, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

Per the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.

Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear mismatched, but the actions of the latest installment show why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

First, the group has a clear idea where to head next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, assaulting the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
  • The adventurer knows the region and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could assist the group enter locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the family.

This leaves them few options but to travel to Timmony in search of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Seekers and Planners parties.

Viewers can look forward to finding out which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
